Writer's Block: Going down

You're on a crashing plane and your partner is fast asleep. Would you wake her/him up to say 'I love you' one last time or let her/him die in her/his sleep?

I presume the plane would be plummeting uncontrollably from a high altitude, in which case I don't think anyone on the plane would be asleep. Too much screaming and all that sort of thing.

That's exactly what bugged me about that question. I mean, how unobservant/drugged is my SO supposed to be? XD

I have maybe more than a healthy interest in aviation safety and accidents. :) There have been cases where planes have hit the ground rather unexpectedly, but in those cases, you don't get much time to react... so your other half could be asleep, but you probably wouldn't get the words out!

Actually, what if they WERE drugged?! I have a really severe needle phobia and require high levels of benzodiazepine tranquilization to get blood drawn; I bet some people who are severely phobic of flying have these same orders from their doctor!
